Dumping Rain

Hola a todos!

This week was awesome! Elder Poulson and I invited two people this week who accepted a baptismal invitation which is super awesome! They are both friends which is going to be really great for them to get baptized the same day!
Wednesday, it finally rained during the day in Córdoba! It has rained before, during the night,  but never during the day! We look outside and before we head out for the day Poulson goes back into the apartment and grabs his rain jacket, I do the same. Man, am I glad we had our jackets because it started dumping rain while we were walking! It was super fun to have something a little different happen in the day to change things up! It also rained more during some nights which is great for Córdoba since the city is in a drought right now!
Saturday, I had an exchange with Elder Seamons which went quite well! We had super awesome lessons and I got to run the area for the day without Elder Poulson which is great practice for the next coming weeks when transfers happen!
Also on Sunday, Belgrano (a Córdoba Fútbol team) won the league title for 2nd string teams! So Belgrano is moving up to the top league next year! Lets go!
It's crazy that my training is going to end in two transfers so I'll be running the area for about 6 weeks! As far as my Spanish goes, it's been getting better and better everyday so we'll see where I'm at in two weeks!
Anyway,
I hope everyone is doing great back home!

Cordoba Temple trip

Hello all!

I know I always say this but this week went by way too fast! Poulson and I had a member lesson on Tuesday and this last Saturday I thought we were at their house like the day before on Friday! Literally a crazy week!
Tuesday morning we had the opportunity to go to the temple! It was awesome! I sat through the whole temple session in Spanish and I actually understood enough that I could make it through the whole seesion without feeling lost! I can definitely see the Lord working through me and giving me the gift of tongues! I couldn't be doing this without the Lord by my side!
This week, a couple we are teaching accepted the baptismal date we extended and it is so cool to see them become a little happier each day! The gospel of Jesus Christ truly does bless people and families.
The craziest thing that happened this week was at the temple! We were waiting for the session to start when we saw Elder Walker (a Seventy) and his wife walk in which was super cool since we just saw them at our zone conference! That's not the craziest thing though after the Walker's came in, the General Relief Society President and the General Primary President walked in! It was actually crazy to see them because we're in Argentina! After the session we talked with them a little and took a picture! It was cool to meet them all!
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well back home!

Zone Conference

Hello all!

This week went by so fast! All of the days felt like one because Elder Poulson and I just had tons of lessons! Almost all of our investigators are in one neighborhood, we have 9 people in a 4 block square which is crazy! We are teaching a family of four, reactivating a member and teaching his two kids, reactivating another member and teaching his kid, and one of the members we are teaching gave us a reference of an older couple who wanted us to teach them! Having multiple lessons a week with every one has moved things along very quickly this week!
Friday we had zone conference with a 70 Elder Walker and his wife which was awesome!
The small miracle: Elder Poulson and I were contacting an old investigator that called us last week asking for a visit. Since Elder Poulson has been in the area forever he knew who she was. This week we visited her but she couldn't answer since she is very old and can't leave her bed. As we were walking away from the house Elder Poulson said he felt a prompting to sit down and call her before we got home so we didn't forget. During the call her son in law came by and we talked with him and got his number so we can keep in contact and coordinate a date we can have him unlock the door for us. If we didn't sit down we would have missed the opportunity to meet him! The lord is always working with us to accomplish his work!
Hope everyone is doing well! I would love to hear how everyone is doing back home!

A super successful week

Hello all!
Short email this week!
This week went by super fast! I had an exchange with Elder Balnco and It went super well! It was definitely hard to speak in Spanish during the whole day but it was good! Learning more everyday!
First week of a new exchange and Elder Poulson and I had a super successful week working with members! It's definitely a nice feeling having success throughout the week!
I am loving it here on the mission! As I am slowly learning more and more about missionary work I am starting to get the hang of things!
Anyway hope everyone is doing well!
Love Elder Burbank!
