Week 50 (Semana 50! Milagros!!)

¡Hola a Todos!

This week was sooo amesome! We've been working hard this past week to find people to teach and we've been slowly working with our friend Omar! He's getting closer and closer to his baptism and we decided to move the baptismal date a week so we can finish teaching him everything, because he talks waaayyy toooo much 😅 So he'll be getting baptized May 27th. 

 

Also, this week we invited another friend of ours, Ana Luz and she accepted a baptismal date for June 10th which is sooo awesome, because I've been helping her for the past 2 transfers here in Alto Alberdi. Also, Ana luz's brother Diego is already a member and we've started to work with him again! We found two new people yesterday with Diego who seem super interested so we'll see how everything goes!! 

This week we've been focusing a lot with helping the members in the ward to do missionary work so they can help us find more people who are ready to learn about the gospel. We've been having great success so far and we're stoked to keep going strong! 

My new companion Elder Thompson is the best! He's actually from Portland, Oregon, but now his family lives in Lyle Washington and one thing that's probably the best thing ever is that he knows who the band "Rush" is, which is hype!! I've been asking around if someone knows "Rush" for my whole mission, 11 months later I found him.

Week (Semana) 49

¡Hola a todos! 

This past week was great!!! We asked two of our friends to get baptized and they accepted! The old man Omar that we found like two weeks ago came to Church and he is going to be baptized the 20th of May!! I'm so happy to have seen this man grow to love the church and the ward and the members, he told us that these people are so loving and friendly! 

Obviously, this area is kind of hard and missionary work is hard, but I need to always be patient have a happy and strong mind set and really find the people who are ready to hear the message of the restoration of the gospel. 

Transfers, were today and I have a new companion! His name is Elder Thompson and he's from Washington State!!! He just finished training and we are exited to start persevering and find the people who are ready to listen!

Week (Semana) 48

¡Hola a todos!

It was a good week this past week. We found an older man to teach and he came to Church on Sunday which was awesome!! He seems pretty interested so the next lesson we have we are going to invite him to be baptized! So, pray for Omar!

Also, on Saturday, we had an awesome lesson with a member present, and we invited a women to be baptized and she accepted! The date is set for the 27 of May. So pray for Candela as well!

We had another zone council this week and it went amazing! Also, we are coming up on transfers! We will be getting a phone call on Saturday and we'll see if I'll stay in Alto Alberdi another transfer or get transferred somewhere else! So stayed tuned for the next email!
