¡Hola a todos!
I have officially finished my first week out of training! This past week has been great! I don't feel too anxious about being in charge of the area and it is kind of nice to make decisions about where we are going etc. It is fun to try my best to communicate in Spanish with my companion because it always reminds me how much I still don't know! I am always learning something new each day and it is just the best!
This coming Saturday we are having the baptism for Bauti (the kid that we invited to be baptized some weeks back) and I can't wait for that! I am always super excited to be apart of someone's decision to come unto Christ because Jesus Christ is my power and my redeemer and I love seeing people see the importance of Jesus Christ in their lives!
This week we invited a lady named Claudia to be baptized and she said yes! She said she wants to changes things in her life which is just joy to my ears! Today I listened to the talk "His grace is sufficient" by Bradly R. Wilcox BYU speeches. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a listen or listen to it again if you have already! The message is so powerful and it gave me a stronger testimony and different perspective about what grace is and what Christ really did for us.
During the past 3 months here in Argentina, I have grown spiritually and become more humble through the experience of speaking in a new language and sharing the promises and blessings of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ! I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I love my Heavenly Father! There is a scripture in the Book of Mormon that I have grown to love. It is in Alma 29:9 it says, "I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy."
This scripture truly does share my feelings about being on a mission in this moment! Being an instrument in the hands of the lord and following the commandments to the best of my ability and always striving to become better each day truly is my joy!
I hope everyone is doing well at home and I would love to hear how things are going!
